A motion graphics short that explores the emotional impact of human contact in the digital era.
The digital era has massively expanded our horizons, making it possible to work from home and make friends on the other side of the globe. However, the lack of physical human contact can have strong emotional effects.
To ideate and execute a motion graphics animation that addresses the way the digital era has changed the way we connect with others, as well as the emotional impacts this can positively or negatively have.
The short uses opacity and the style of shapes to communicate the different dimensions of interpersonal interaction:
Line pieces are always connected to each other, since they can interact with others at all times even through long distance via the internet.
Full opacity, monochromatic & analogous color palettes with lower saturation. Reality is solid and “boring”.
Sheer vibrant colors, digital life is an incorporeal but enhanced version of reality, which makes it more fun.
I would like to create more custom graphics in order to have smoother transitions all over, and increment the use of custom typography.
I would love to incorporate sound effects according to the scenes, and to use custom line movement in some sections as opposed to the effect in the program.
